Conservative radio formula on covering war vs. “Jesus wept”
And, a major medical kidnapping update
Episode 1,140 - Conservative radio formula on covering war vs. “Jesus wept”
I woke up this morning realizing that my initial reaction to hearing the news of the attack on Israel was not to drop to my knees in prayer, it was to prep a show. And for that, I feel great regret. There is a formula in conservative radio to cover events like this and although I am not here to talk about other hosts or what they do, I realize that the norm is to lead off with a ‘hot segment’. It would be easy for me to grasp on to my thoughts and feelings about what Hamas is doing and how Iran told us what they were going to do, but Jesus’s response was to weep. As we go through this episode, I explore why Jesus wept, what keeps us apart from God, and our roles as peacemakers.
What does God’s Word say?
“When you go out to war against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and an army larger than your own, you shall not be afraid of them, for the Lord your God is with you, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. And when you draw near to the battle, the priest shall come forward and speak to the people and shall say to them, ‘Hear, O Israel, today you are drawing near for battle against your enemies: let not your heart faint. Do not fear or panic or be in dread of them, for the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.’
The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord.
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.

Episode 1,141 - A major medical kidnapping update
Kristine McCreary’s son was medically kidnapped for almost two years. She fought back and won. But, she isn’t done with the fight for all parents.
When her son was fifteen years-old, Kristine McCreary took him to the hospital for a severe flu. Within about ten-days, he had been medically kidnapped. It took her nearly two-years to have him returned to her care. Kirstine was forced to fight CPS allegations--which were ALL overturned. Even with the CPS allegations ERASED, treated as if they never happened, in order to get her son back, Kristine was forced to take a plea deal on Felony Abuse of a Child -- a plea that was later overturned, with the judge actually noting Kristine was never named in the charges. Her son is now twenty years-old and they remain very close and Kristine is headed to the Idaho Supreme Court in defense of parental rights. But, what makes this case so infuriating are two, key factors: as Kristine explains, after her son had been in the hospital for about week, after doctors, nurses, social workers and psychologists had continually noted--in writing--he should go home with his mother, after all of that one, single doctor who apparently say her son for all of 20 minutes, that one, single doctor overruled EVERYONE and decided to bring in police and CPS. The doctor’s evidence of abuse was . . . ?

Todd, I highly recommend you watch THE ESSENTIAL CHURCH documentary just released this week. Who is Caesar? Does the state have authority over the Church? Is the state accountable to a higher authority? Romans 13 speaks to the topic of 1 kingdom or 2 kingdom? Lastly, you speak on eschatological events based on your understanding of “end times” influenced by your pastor and your early influence. I did as well. Turning 60 years in a couple of months and I am still humbled by what God teaches me in my studies regarding theology. If i could recommend an author from American Vision, Gary DeMar, I believe you would benefit and be blessed by studying the historical positions of the church on eschatology. This would give you a more rounded understanding of the audience you speak to in regards to the differing views in orthodox Christianity. A book that had significant influence in my life is called BEFORE JERUSALEM FELL BY Dr. Kenneth Gentry. I pray you consider reading this from this brother in Christ.
Todd, because you realize that we have eternal life with the God of the Bible through the blood of Jesus Christ dying for our sins, I have a question for you. Have you read Mark Cahill's book entitled One Thing You Can't Do in Heaven?
