The rock-ribbed, tall as an oak, unshakeable, conservative GOP establishment might fall over backward into a win because Democrats are actively insane while McConnell and McCarthy just enable that insanity.
John Hinderaker at Powerline Blog things the GOP may blow the dems out in the midterms. If only I could become enthusiastic about that. If McCarthy and McConnell still run things, it will not matter much.
The DNC has sent the shadow President on the road because the Figurehead has no coattails on which Democrats can ride.

Mean things like this, Paul? They accused your running mate--a man who is a fake conservative--of causing a woman to get cancer because his company bought the place where she was employed.
Or mean things like this, Paul? The one where “you” push granny off a cliff?
Paul Ryan does fear Trump, other shiny-shoes fear him . . . but, WHY? Politicians say mean things all the time. So, why does Paul Ryan’s crowd--he says “we”--fear him so much?
The Republicans have all sorts of models of bad Democrat behavior to take to the polls. Where is Paul Ryan’s worry about these mean things?
